Today I was so pleased to get Mr Big Tops sweets through my letter box. It makes such a change to the depressing bills that seem to be flooding in this January. Opening up the box is like stepping back in time. It really makes me feel like a kid again seeing all these retro sweeties.

Unlike sweets you get in pick and mix shops, these are sealed in little packets for freshness and you really can taste the difference! Opening up each door was like opening an advent calendar and it was great to see the kids faces when they saw all the different sweeties.

I honestly don’t know who was more excited, me or the kids. I was very reluctant to share but I came up with the idea of letting them open one bag each day after school if they had been good.
