Breakfast With Santa 2015 – CouponMamaUK

Santa Claus is coming to town! No he really is. Every year Wyevale garden centres offer a breakfast or tea with Santa himself. This year we were asked to go along with the kids and review or experience. This is what they offer…
When we first arrived, we walked through what looked like a winter wonderland. The kids were so excited to see The Gruffalo and his friends! The whole place seemed really magical and festive. I’m a huge fan of Christmas and could have happily stayed all day.
We walked into the restaurant area to be greeted by some very friendly elves, They led us to a private room laid out beautifully with activities for the kids. They even photobooth props to take silly photos with. within seconds of being seated we were offered drinks and the coffee was amazing. I could tell it was good quality and smelt just like Costa.
The only thing we didn’t like was how cramped the tables were. We had another family seated next to us and we were all eating our food with our arms stuck to our sides, very squashed. With that being said the food was very yummy. I could have quite easily had seconds.
The elves were very kind and kept asking if everything was okay with our food or if we needed any more drinks ect. They also took the time to stop and talk to the kids. We even spotted one dancing away with another child. Their fun-loving attitude really made the morning more exciting.
After everyone had finished their food, the elves had some bad news! Santa was lost and couldn’t find his way to see us. The only thing we could do was sing Jingle Bells to help guide him there. They called all the kids up to sing but there was still no sign of Santa. We were then told that the adults also needed to sing along. It was great that they got everyone involved and the atmosphere was great with everyone singing away.
There was a huge cheer as Santa appeared behind them. It was so magical to see the excitement on all the kids little faces. One by one each child was called up to sit on Santa’s knee. To save the other children from getting impatient the elves brought out cookies for them to decorate.
When our kids were called up to see Santa, Connor (3) was very shy and nervous. Luckily he had taken a liking to one of the elves, so was happy to walk over with her. Unlike most visits we have had with Santa, the kids were allowed to spend a good 5 mins having a long chat and it wasn’t rushed at all.
Once they had finished their chat and cuddles, they were led over to a very festive grotto filled with toys for them to choose from. They were good quality toys not the cheap £1 shop ones you normally get when you visit other grottos. Connor rushed over and chose a sand modeling kit and Chloe chose a mineral gem set.
As we were leaving we were also given a bag of chocolate coins for each of the children and thanked by the elves for coming. I would highly recommend going to have breakfast or tea with Santa at one of Wyevale’s many garden centres across the country.
